Liturgical

Altar Servers
Young men and women (Grades 4 -12) who assist the priests at weekend masses and on special occasions (weddings, funerals, etc.). Experienced "retired" altar servers are needed at Christmas, Easter and in May for Confirmation and First Communion ceremonies.
Training:  Three - 1 hour training sessions begin in early November with the formal installation at the end of November, early December. Servers are given a dvd that walks them through all the steps of the Mass. It includes pictures and explanations of the elements of the mass. This can also be viewed on our "Connected Community" site reachable from our homepage.

Art and Environment
Ensures the beauty of our worship space with careful attention given to the use of liturgical banners, flowers and special decorations for Christmas, Easter and throughout the year.

Baptismal Garments
The white garment of baptism is presented to each child that is baptized.  Anyone may volunteer to help make them. The steps to create each garment are to mark the fabric, cut, sew, serge and press. Volunteers can make the garment from start to finish or do just one or two steps. They do not need to be perfect but each one will be a perfect fit.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Allows the youth of our parish (ages 4-12) to become more fully engaged in celebrating our Eucharist. The participants are dismissed during the regular Mass and then gather to have scripture readings and related homily presented to them in a language and manner that they may more easily understand. Program is usually scheduled once a month at the 10:00 a.m. Mass (see weekly bulletin for specific dates).
Volunteer adult presiders are always welcome and needed to make the program a success.
